Are you a swimwear fabric factory in China?

What fabric is suitable for swimwear?
Nylon spandex and polyester spandex knitted stretch fabrics are commonly used for swimwear. The suitable option depends on garment type, handfeel, stretch recovery, wet coverage, color direction, lining need and testing requirements.

Should I choose nylon spandex or polyester spandex?
Nylon spandex is often selected for bikini, one-piece swimsuits and premium swimwear styles that need soft touch and smooth body fit. Polyester spandex is often considered for rash guards, printed swimwear, water sports styles and cost-sensitive projects. Final selection should be based on your style, color, printing method and final use.

What GSM is suitable for swimwear fabric?
Common swimwear fabrics may range around 180–280 GSM depending on the garment type. Bikini fabrics may use a lighter direction, while one-piece swimsuits, swim leggings and modest swimwear may need higher coverage and stronger recovery. GSM should be confirmed together with density, stretch, color and lining.

Will white or light fabric be see-through when wet?
White, nude, fluorescent and light colors have higher wet see-through risk. The fabric should be checked when dry, wet and stretched over a skin-tone background. Lining may be recommended depending on the color, GSM, fabric structure and garment design.

Does swimwear fabric need lining?
Not every swimwear style needs lining. However, white, nude, light-color, fluorescent, low-GSM or high-stretch styles often need lining to improve coverage, comfort and wearing confidence. The main fabric and lining should be checked together for color, stretch and recovery.

Can fabric be checked for chlorine, seawater or sun use?
Yes. Chlorine, seawater, light fastness or UPF-related testing can be discussed according to the final fabric specification and project needs. Pool swimwear, beachwear, rash guards and children's swimwear may need different testing directions.

Can you develop custom colors for swimwear fabric?
Yes. Custom colors can be developed through lab dips before bulk dyeing. Lab dips are especially useful for bright colors, dark shades, fluorescent colors and brand-specific color directions. Standard custom dyeing MOQ: 300 KG per color.

What should be checked for printed swimwear fabric?
Printed swimwear should be checked for base fabric selection, print method, pattern direction, stretch distortion, rubbing fastness and washing performance. For high-stretch swimwear, the print should be reviewed under stretch conditions before bulk planning.

Can you support recycled swimwear fabric requirements?
Recycled nylon, recycled polyester, GRS, OEKO-TEX or other compliance requirements can be reviewed before development. Availability should be confirmed based on actual yarn, fabric quality, color requirement, testing needs and certification documents.
